The 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck is an affordable option with the Ram 1500 starting at less than $20,000. It contains all the amenities and features that are typically contained in larger, more expensive trucks; including a new available 5.7-liter HEMI Magnum engine delivering 345 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 375 lb.-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. . The Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 also offer a wide array of features including larger cabs and truck beds as well as standard 345 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI Magnum V8. An electric transfer cases enables drivers to shift from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive in a heartbeat. Towing capabilities for trailers up to 5000 pounds are also included.
While the Dodge Ram truck has plenty of features for work, it is also equipped with numerous comfort amenities including available adjustable power pedals and HomeLink available three-function universal remote transceiver. Air bags are standard with available supplemental side curtain air bags and Crumple Zones to absorb frontal impact energy.
The 2006 Dodge Dakota has plenty to offer as well including four different models, the Dakota Regular Cab, Dakota SXT, Dakota Quad Cab and Dakota Club Cab. The Dakota Quad Cab and Dakota Club Cab offer available seating for up to six passengers as well as the highest government side crash testing rating.

The Dodge Dakota comes equipped with the ability to switch from two-wheel to four-wheel drive on the fly while the Dakota Quad Cab boasts a turning diameter of 41.2 feet. Consumers can also take advantage of the opportunity to outfit their Dodge Dakota with a Heavy-Duty Service Group or Trailer Tow Group and choice of axles.
As with all Chrysler vehicles, safety is an important consideration with the Dodge Dakota line-up. The Dodge Dakota features Next Generation driver and front-passenger air bags and available four-wheel antilock brakes as well as Sentry Key Engine Immobilizer.
The Dodge Durango combines the seating capability of up to eight passengers with maximized interior cargo space. Five different models are available; the Durango Sport, Durango SXT, Durango SLT, Durango SLT Plus and Durango R/T. Basic features start out with the Durango SXT while leather seating is offered with the Durango SLT and SLT Plus. Standard full-time four-wheel drive comes standard with the Durango R/T.
The Dodge Durango offers a standard engine with 5.9-liter turbine with 245 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. The Durango R/T models come with an additional 5 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque. Other amenities include a driver selectable four-wheel drive mode and the ability to tow up to 7,500 pounds.
Other features include available steering wheel remote control buttons for the audio system, standard Dual Zone Temperature Control for the driver and front passenger and available heated seats with six way power controls. The real seat folds down to provide access to 88 cubic feet of interior cargo space and there is even an available third-row hideaway seat. A Rear Seat Video system is also available to round out the many features offered with the 2006 Dodge Durango.
